Darren and his wife Kirsten have been leading the Youth and Kids Ministry Teams at New Covenant Church Bryanston for the past 12 years. They are also fully engaged in ministry with the schools on their campus ranging from grade 000 to Matric. Having both come from teaching backgrounds as well as professional sports coaching they are passionate about seeing kids be active, adventurous and engaged in the ministries God has planned for each one of them! A life with Jesus is dynamic, daring, exciting, courageous and definitely not for the faint of heart! Darren and Kirsty are totally committed to inspiring and discipling young people through fun, vibrant ways, standing firm on God’s unchangeable Word in a modern world that is determined to silence the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Bolanle Enang is a Family Enthusiast. Her involvement in children and youth ministry spans over 14 years. She has a Master’s degree in Practical Theology and an Advanced Certificate in Children and Youth Ministry from the University of Pretoria. Currently, she is the Children and Youth Pastor at St Stephen’s Church, Sunninghill. She is also the Founding director and Lead facilitator of Capacity Growth Consult, family support and development organisation with a focus on working parents and flourishing family life. Bolanle loves laughing, playing and cracking people up. She has many expressions – author of “Power of the Table”, trainer for children ministry, family life workshops, parenting training, conference host and speaker, a lifelong learner in family life and ministry. She loves reading, travelling, singing and hanging out with loved ones. Bolanle is married to Daniel, and live in Johannesburg with their two miracle children.

Darrel was born and bred in Cape Town and moved to Gauteng when he got married in 2014.

An encounter with Jesus in 1990, changed his life, even though he had been involved at church since a very young age. After having served on a missionary team in 1995, he was convinced that God was calling him to ministry with young people and immediately pursued this. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Theology at George Whitfield College, and has been in ministry ever since.

His conviction is that ministry to young people is paramount, as it is during these formative years that we can have an impact on their faith and lay a good foundation for their relationship with God.

Most people call me Bee, and I’m passionate about creativity, coffee, chocolate and Jesus!

I currently serve in the position of the social media-coordinator for Hillsong Africa and I absolutely love what I get to do. I’ve also served in youth ministry for many years and love being a part of what God is doing in and through young people here!

Jacksons Ridge has been under the directorship of Neville and Gail Fannin for the past 14 years. Together they have been serving Kids Pastors across the nation by offering incredible resources, training seminars and camps, inspiring leaders in ministry to children to reach new heights!

Their heart to train a new generation of Kids Ministers is established on their wealth of Pastoral Leadership experience where they served the local church in Children’s Church and Outreach Programmes for more than a decade.

They have ministered extensively in rural areas among the disadvantaged and abused children of sub-Saharan Africa and are especially wise and insightful regarding the special challenges faced by the local church. They are gifted communicators, excellent trainers and engaging kid’s ministry Pastors.

Philip was born in the UK and studied Physics at Oxford University obtaining a 1st class degree, and then a PhD in semiconductor optoelectronics from Sheffield University. He worked as a research scientist for 13 years and has published over 30 articles in scientific journals, including an invited review article for the American Physics Society.

In 2003 Philip was dragged laughing and smiling from Mud Island (also known as the UK) to the Waterberg by his South African wife Juliet. He now enjoys the privilege of studying the handiwork of our Creator under the clear dark skies of the bushveld. Philip enjoys introducing others to the wonders of the universe and it’s Maker via his public astronomy shows. He also lectures on the interaction of science and faith and is passionate about how these two subjects not only harmoniously support each other, but how together they tell an amazing story of God’s work in creation.
